Seventeen years of practiced hands, premium hard wax, and a service that respects your schedule. This is what a Brazilian wax should feel like.

A Brazilian wax at Viva Brazil takes under 15 minutes, costs $69, or $59/month with our membership. Seventeen years in San Diego, a technique built around speed and minimal discomfort, and a full series of follow-on waxing services for everywhere else you want smooth.

Why Brazilian Wax at Viva Brazil Is Different

Most Brazilian waxes feel like an event. Booking, parking, paperwork, a long appointment, an awkward recovery. We rebuilt the experience from the ground up. Our estheticians have spent 17 years refining a technique that keeps the actual waxing portion under 15 minutes, applies hard wax in efficient sections, and minimizes the pulling and re-application that drag out the discomfort.

The result: clients come in on lunch breaks, between school pickups, before flights. You walk in, you walk out smooth, you go on with your day.

What the Research Says

Hair-removal preferences have shifted considerably over the last two decades. A study published in JAMA Dermatology found that the majority of women in the United States now practice some form of pubic hair grooming, with waxing among the most common professional methods.1 Dermatologists writing in Allure and Harper’s Bazaar have repeatedly noted that hard-wax techniques performed by trained estheticians are gentler on sensitive skin than razor shaving, which carries a higher rate of folliculitis and ingrown hairs.2,3 The American Academy of Dermatology recommends waxing every three to four weeks for the cleanest, longest-lasting results, which is precisely the cadence our membership is built around.4

FAQ

Does it really only take 15 minutes?

Yes. After 17 years, our team has the technique down. The actual waxing portion routinely runs 10–14 minutes for a Brazilian. Your first visit may include a brief intake, but returning clients are typically in and out within 20 minutes door-to-door.

How long should my hair be?

About a quarter inch, roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you’ve been shaving, give it two to three weeks of growth before your appointment. Too short and the wax has nothing to grip; too long and the pull is unnecessarily harsh.

Is the membership worth it if I’m not sure I’ll go every month?

The membership pays for itself if you wax even once every five weeks. Unused months roll forward, and dermatologists recommend the every-four-weeks cadence anyway because it weakens the follicle over time and makes each subsequent wax shorter and more comfortable.
